"filter bubbles"

I don't think that filter bubbles are a good thing. Limiting the information you can view based on previous views is absurd. How does a robot know what your likes and dislikes are? they don't.. so why are they allowed to filter what we see based on what they think. I believe this will limit the information we will be able to see when searching for our research topic. So before i begin my research on my personal computer i will take a look at the ten steps to pop my filter bubble to allow more information to be shown instead of filtered information they the robots think are useful. The internet has changed drastically over time and for these robots to filter information we see based on previous searches or visited sites is wrong.

  1. I totally agree with you. Robots don't know anything! They shouldn't be able to limit what we can search because of previous searches. Popping your filter bubble will definitely be beneficial to your research.

  2. Filter bubbles are not a good feature of the internet. I definitely agree with you that robots can not intelligibly know what we want to see when we use the internet. It is somewhat disturbing to me that the internet can pull all of the information together and determine what we do and do not see when we use search engines. I think it is a very good idea to use the 10 ways to eliminate the filter bubbles.
